ACCIDENT

Thursday the 18th of November I was in my very first car accident and it happened to do quite a bit of damage. Jace and I had planned to go to the midnight showing of Harry Potter for our 3 month anniversary, but didn't get a chance to celebrate it that way. Instead we spent it in the hospital. I was headed home from Payson from doing pitching lessons, and the last time I was out there I got lost. This time I decided to be extra cautious as to not miss my exit. I got in the right hand lane, looked back at a billboard in my rear view mirror to make sure I knew where I was and as I did that the lanes shifted. There are no lights, and the lanes are so small I think it was inevitable to have missed the barricades. I hit the construction barricades and everything included in it! My car was still running when I crashed and my air bag didn't go off so i crawled out of the car. It was then that I noticed my legs hurt really bad and I thought they may have been broken! I crawled out and tried to stand up, but I couldn't. I started to wave my hands in hopes that another car would see me, but it was so dark. I then crawled back in my car to find my phone and called my husband. I scooted myself away from my car because I was afraid it would blow up or something. And a diesel drove by and hit a cone that I had bumped into the freeway so I was pretty nervous that I was gonna get hit with something again. I got a hold of Jace and was crying and said I got in a wreck I think I broke my leg! He said call 911! And for those of you who know how crappy our service is in our house, yep we lost service right then. I called 911 and help was on the way. All my loved ones were able to meet me at the hospital within a few days. I broke my pelvis in three places, broke my tail bone, and had a 2-3 inch cut on the back of my head that was stapled shut. When I saw the pictures of my car, I wasn't sure how I made it through that accident. It was terrifying, but my adrenaline kicked in and I was no way gonna go down without a fight! Thanks to everyone who has come to see me and support me. I feel like this was an answer to prayers, although I would have much rather not had my hips broken, I think that Heavenly Father must have a much better plan for my life ahead of me. I'm just glad my life didn't end that night. I love my family and my husband so much. Jace has been quite amazing throughout this whole thing. He helps me shower, helps me go to the bathroom, helps me walk, does my hair, gets me anything I need, goes to work, the grocery store, watches movies with me, sleeps by me, gives me blood thinner shots in my stomach, scratches my legs, makes me breakfast lunch and dinner, does the dishes, laundry, cleans... I am so lucky! Love you Jace, can't wait to spend the rest of eternity with ya!!

love,
